Ukraynadan “Təzadlar”a məktub- ƏMƏKDAŞLIĞA AÇILAN PƏNCƏRƏ

Salam Tezadlar,

San-Fransiskoda yerləşən qeyri-kommersiya təşkilatı Action For Nature 2026-cı il Beynəlxalq Gənc Eko-Qəhrəman Mükafatının qaliblərini açıqlayır: iqlim dəyişikliyi, vəhşi təbiətin qorunması, plastik çirklənmə və biomüxtəlifliyin itirilməsi də daxil olmaqla, bu günün ən çətin ekoloji problemlərinə real həllər tapdıqlarına görə mükafatlandırılan 8-16 yaş arası 16 gənc innovator.

Bu ilki mükafatçılar arasında Ukraynanın Kiyev şəhərindən olan və hazırda Azərbaycanın Bakı şəhərində yaşayan 10 yaşlı Noah Beshto da var. O, Kiyevdəki evinin yaxınlığında yaralı quşları və heyvanları xilas etmək üçün keçirdiyi illəri ətraflı izah edən şəxsi təbiət jurnalı olan “Nuhun Gündəliyi”nə görə qalib gəlib.

Action For Nature-ın prezidenti Beryl Kay bu ilki qaliblər sinfini, mükafatın 23 illik təsirini və gənclərin rəhbərlik etdiyi ətraf mühitin müdafiəsinin daha geniş mənzərəsini müzakirə etmək üçün müsahibələrə hazırdır. Noah həmçinin layihə haqqında birbaşa danışmaq üçün hazırdır.

Əlavə məlumat üçün aşağıdakı mətbuat açıqlamasına baxın. Video və şəkillər üçün Action For Nature-ın mətbuat səhifəsinə daxil olun.

Bu əlamətdar eko-qəhrəmanı işıqlandırmaqda maraqlısınızsa, mənə bildirin. Hər hansı bir sualınızı cavablandırmaqdan və ya müsahibə təyin etməkdən məmnun olaram.

Hörmətlə, Qabriel.

UKRAINIAN YOUTH AWARDED IN ACTION FOR NATURE’S 2026 INTERNATIONAL YOUNG ECO-HERO AWARDS
Noah Beshto, 10, turned a childhood nature journal into “Noah’s Diary,” a documentary series that has carried him across eight countries and reached hundreds of thousands of viewers with one message: we can’t protect what we don’t understand.
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Aug. 18, 2026 — Today, Noah Beshto, age 10, of Kyiv, Ukraine, currently residing in Baku, Azerbaijan, was named an Honorable Mention winner of the 2026 International Young Eco-Hero Award in the 8-14 age category. The award is presented by Action For Nature, an international nonprofit that has spent more than two decades honoring young people for tangible solutions to environmental challenges.
“I don’t want people to feel guilty. I want them to feel connected, really connected, to nature. Because when you truly understand something and feel it in your heart, protecting it just becomes natural,” Beshto said.
Beshto’s project, “Noah’s Diary,” began in 2023 as a personal nature journal, growing out of years spent rescuing injured birds and animals near his home in Kyiv. Troubled by seeing animals treated as entertainment rather than living creatures, he and his parents decided storytelling could do more than facts to build empathy for wildlife. In May 2025, he took the diary public on YouTube and Instagram, turning it into an international documentary series that has since drawn more than 670,000 views.
Over the past year, Beshto has filmed expeditions across eight countries, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Azerbaijan, where he now lives, interviewing ornithologists, wildlife photographers, and organizations, including the World Wildlife Fund, to translate complex ecological science into accessible video diaries. His work earned Runner-Up honors in the “Best Film” category at the Conservation Optimism Film Festival. Beshto also partners with the Wild Animals Rescue Center in Ukraine, raising awareness for its work and for a rescued lion named Khan, and his advocacy for Berlin’s urban swans drew institutional support from Greenpeace Berlin.
Beshto now works alongside ornithologist Dr. Elchin Sultanov in Azerbaijan, where he has helped install eight camera-equipped nesting boxes to study barn owls and lesser kestrels for the Ornithological Society of Azerbaijan, and leads “What the Wind Brings,” a research project examining how wind carries plastic pollution into the region’s semi-desert ecosystems. He also brings his films into primary school classrooms, pairing screenings on topics like the ecological role of vultures and nature’s recovery after Chernobyl with hands-on nesting box projects.
The International Young Eco-Hero Award recognizes eco-conscious youth ages 8 to 16 for meaningful environmental action, from protecting octopuses off the coast of Portugal to leading clean-air campaigns for slum residents in Delhi. This year’s applicant pool was the most diverse to date, with 476 applicants across 50 countries. Only 16 winners ages 10 to 16 were chosen, including Beshto, placing him among a small, distinguished group of young environmental leaders whose past honorees have gone on to serve as United Nations ambassadors and lead international climate initiatives.
“Noah is showing the world that empathy might be the most powerful conservation tool we have,” said Beryl Kay, President of Action For Nature. “He’s not lecturing kids about nature. He’s inviting them to care about it, one story at a time.”
Beshto will join the other 15 winners at Action For Nature’s 2026 Eco-Hero Awards Conference, a virtual event on August 29, where each honoree will present their project and take part in a live Q&A.
